ICEBREAKER
As we begin this 6-week sermon series, take a moment to connect with
each other as a group by answering the following question: “What does it
take to make relationships work?”
THIS WEEK (listen to the message at: www.coldspringschurch.net)
There is one thing that can bring both the greatest joy and the greatest
pain in our lives – relationships. The “One Another” series is a deeper look at
what the Bible says about making relationships work so we can maximize
the joy and move beyond the pain.
1. What do this week’s passages say about how we experience God?
2. How does Cold Springs’ strategy of IN–OUT–UP apply to this series?
(See below principles).
IN- 3AM Friendship – Being a follower of Jesus means having authentic
friendship that is anytime, anywhere so we can help each other be like
Jesus.
OUT – Surrender Comfort – When we surrender the comfort of our time,
giftedness, treasure and relationships we become followers of Jesus who
are greatly used to make a difference in people’s lives.
UP – Gather Together – God’s plan to reveal his Kingdom life is the
gathered followers of Jesus – the church. There is no Plan B. A follower of
Jesus gathers with other followers to worship, learn and grow.
3. What actions help you to really “see people?”
4. How would living out those actions impact your life? The lives of others?
Making time for relationships is a choice. As we move towards engagement
with others, we create space in our lives to deepen relationships. As followers of Jesus, we are called to “Choose One Another – Make Time.”
Attached is a list of ideas of how we can begin choosing one another.
5. What ideas can you (and your family or life group) add to this list?
6. What will you do this week to choose relationship?
