About Us

Since 1946,

this has been a people who have cared that others know Jesus and know each other. The enduring legacy of Cold Springs Church is to have a passion for people in our community, our nation and our world to experience a vibrant faith rooted in authentic community.

We are a community passionate about Jesus and dedicated to becoming more like Him. Guided by the Bible, we seek God through worship and prayer, striving to live out our faith in a needy world. We are committed to seeing people come to Jesus, grow deep in their faith, and, together, become the hands and feet of Christ.

Through partnerships with local, national, and international ministries, we extend our impact far beyond our walls. Cold Springs Church is grounded in the historic, orthodox Christian faith, in agreement with the National Association of Evangelicals’ Statement of Faith, and seeks to live it out with authenticity and love.

OUR STATEMENT OF FAITH

In essential beliefs

WE HAVE UNITY

“There is one Body and one Spirit…there is one Lord, one faith, one baptism, and one God and Father of us all…”

(Eph. 4:4-6)

In non-essential beliefs

WE HAVE LIBERTY

“Accept him whose faith is weak, without passing judgment on disputable matters…Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To his own master he stands or falls…So then each of us will give an account of himself to God… So whatever you believe about these things keep between yourself and God.”

(Romans 14:1,4,12,22)

“And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.”

We believe

Scripture

We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired and without error in the original manuscripts, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and that it has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

The Trinity

We believe that there is one living God, and that He has revealed Himself in three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. (Titus 3:4-6)

God the Father: We believe in God the Father: an infinite, personal spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love. We believe that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of man, and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ. (Psalm 90:2; 1 Peter 1:2)
God the Son: We believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He is eternal and shares all of the attributes of deity with the Father and the Holy Spirit, as God’s only begotten Son. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit to be born of a virgin, Mary. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles and teachings. We believe in His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into Heaven, perpetual intercession for His people and personal, visible return to earth. (Matthew 1:22,23; John 1:1-5, 14:10-30)
God the Holy Spirit: We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person and shares all the attributes of deity with the Father and the Son. He came forth from the Father and the Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgement, and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ, and that He is an abiding Helper, Teacher, and Guide. (John 16:7-13)

Salvation

We believe that all men are sinners by nature and by choice and are, therefore, deserving of eternal condemnation. We believe that those who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior are regenerated and become children of God by the Holy Spirit. (John 1:12; Romans 5:6-8)

The Church

We believe that the Church is the Body of Christ, of which Christ is the Head. It consists of all regenerated persons. We believe in local churches as visible manifestations of the invisible Body of Christ, the Church Universal. We believe that God has given the task of evangelism of the world to the Church under the direction of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. (Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:12-14; Ephesians 1:22)

Christian Living

We believe that a Christian should live for the glory of God and the well-being of others. Believers are called to live holy and godly lives. (1 Corinthians 10:31; 1 Peter 1:5-6; Matthew 22:37-40)

Ordinances

We believe that the ordinances of the New Testament church are communion (the Lord’s Supper) and water baptism for believers by immersion as a public act of confession of faith. (Acts 8:36-39; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)

Last Things

We believe in the personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth and the establishment of His kingdom. We believe in the resurrection of the body, the final judgement, the eternal joy of the saved, and the endless suffering and separation of the lost. (Acts 1:11; Isaiah 9:6-7; 2 Peter 3:7; John 3:16)

Christian Liberties

We believe in the personal Lordship of Christ over individual believers. Each believer must give account for himself to Christ. Therefore, in matters not strictly defined in Scripture, convictions of one should not be imposed on others. (Romans 14)

Spreading peace through authentic engagement with Jesus and others.

We pursue God by passionately seeking Him in Scripture, prayer, and worship, allowing Him to shape our lives.

WE EXPECT TRANSFORMATION

We expect transformation by cultivating a deep faith that actively prioritizes and produces new faith in others.

WE GO TO PEOPLE

We go to people by being integrated where God has placed us and actively engaged with our neighbors, community, and world.

WE BRING JESUS

We bring Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit, allowing His love, truth, hope, and peace to flow through our presence.

What I love about Cold Springs Church is we don’t make it about us. Jesus wants to build his Kingdom and Cold Springs has shown radical generosity in our community and around the world to invest time and resources to equip and support leaders who are touching people with the love of Jesus. It is an amazing privilege to play a small part in what God is doing in the world to restore and strengthen lives through faith in Jesus!

Executive / Spiritual Formation Pastor

I am so blessed to serve by equipping people in our community as they respond to God’s amazing love and grace. I love the people I have worshiped with since 2006! I enjoy variety and participating in many areas of Cold Springs’ life including, finances, life groups, women, content writing, teaching and coaching. I am passionate about God’s transforming work in our world. Thus, along with partnering leaders at Cold Springs for their development and growth, I also work with other leaders in the larger Kingdom of God.

Associate Pastor

As Youth Pastor here at Cold Springs church I lead our student ministries. I aim to create spaces of growth and passion where disciples are formed and encouraged. I also lead our young adults group. That has been such a blessing because I get to learn with my peers and I get to have leaders lead me so I can effectively lead young adults to be the salt and light in this world. I have the privilege to be a part of an amazing ministry team that comes around me and helps me grow and carry out my calling.

Worship Arts Pastor

I am very excited and feel extremely blessed to be part of the team at Cold Springs Church. As the Worship Pastor, I consider it a privilege to work with the amazing worship ministry to bring both prayer and music that is biblically sound so that it may be edifying and uplifting to the family of Christ.

I am always grateful when God gives this undeserving man the chance to serve and to help others of all generations. I enjoy being a part of God’s transformational work in people’s lives to either come to faith or grow in their walk.

My role at Cold Springs Church as Executive Admin is such a blessing to me and my family. I get to work with a wonderful team of people who motivate me to be a better person and to grow in Christ. I offer support to everyone on staff, but particularly the Pastoral Staff. I love to help! I love putting faces to the names I see; so please introduce yourself if you see me. I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of this team and to deepen the relationships with staff, the congregation members, and God.

KidsWorld program Director

I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve in KidsWorld. My prayer is for each child to grow deep in God’s love and find belonging in God’s family. Early years are a time when truth sinks deep into our hearts and takes hold for a lifetime, and my prayer is that our kids will know the breadth and length and height and depth of the love of Christ. I am so happy to serve alongside each of our KidsWorld leaders to nurture and equip kids to know and love Jesus and to love and serve others. Partnering with the families of Cold Springs Church is a privilege and a joy.

I have been a devoted follower of Jesus Christ for over 30 years and deeply love His Church. I have been married to my husband, Walter, since 1989, and am a mother to Isaac, Joel (and his wife, Alexis), and Abigail (and her husband, Michael).

My heart’s desire, for myself and for all women, is that we would recognize our God-given value as His image-bearers and continue growing into the likeness of Jesus Christ in our everyday lives. I am grateful to be a part of the work God is doing in our community and count it a joy to serve alongside others in His kingdom.

kidsworld admin director

I am beyond blessed to be the KidsWorld Admin Director here at Cold Springs Church. As a transplant from the Bay Area in 2016, Cold Springs Church welcomed me in. The warm welcome and connection was such a blessing while making the transition from Urban life to rural life. I now have the opportunity to be at church all week preparing lessons for our youngest attendees to help the volunteers that serve in KidsWorld plant seeds of who Jesus is. I can’t think of anything more wonderful!

My family (hubby Kevin and 5 year old son Hank) have been attending Cold Springs since 2021. I feel beyond blessed to be a part of this amazing church family. As the Office Admin, I’ll be helping everywhere I’m needed including answering phones and being one of the first faces you see when you come in the door. I’m so happy to be a part of this staff full of wonderful people and to continue to grow my faith alongside them.

Jesus Christ has changed my life! I want to share that Jesus with others. He has blessed me with the opportunity to do so in my local community, specifically in building up and supporting the next generation. Cold Springs Church has become the avenue of reaching the kids and young adults in my community and bringing them together in the name of Jesus Christ. We have been called to go and make disciples of all nations. My passion is for reaching the people in my local community, especially our children and young adults. I am grateful to serve in the body of Christ in any capacity, and extraordinary blessed to serve in in the area I am most passionate about. God is Good!
